Abstract:
To provide an electret which is superior in the property of holding an electric charge even under a high-temperature condition.SOLUTION: An electret comprises: a woven or nonwoven fabric made of a material other than polytetrafluoroethylene; and polytetrafluoroethylene covering the surface of at least part of a fiber forming the woven or nonwoven fabric. As to the electret, the content of the polytetrafluoroethylene is 20 mass% or more, and the porosity is 30 vol.% or more. Further in the electret, the woven or nonwoven fabric is composed of a glass woven or nonwoven fabric. The electret is electrified by corona discharge.SELECTED DRAWING: None
