Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric actuator using a worm, preventing a worm-drive rotary motor from generating an excessive startup current and having favorable changeover responsiveness.SOLUTION: An electric actuator using a worm includes: a rotary motor (52); a worm (53) rotatingly driven by the rotary motor and having spiral teeth consisting of screw threads (53a) and screw roots (53b), around a peripheral surface thereof; and an operation component (54) pivoted to the adjacency of the worm, rotationally turns via contact with the spiral teeth and operates an actuation object mechanism. The operation component (54) includes a contact part coming into contact with the spiral teeth of the worm, and operation parts (541 and 542) for operating the actuation object mechanism. Further, the contact part comprises a single projection (545a) to be inserted into a screw root (53b) of the spiral teeth.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
