Title:
ELECTRIC ASSIST STEERING SYSTEM HAVING IMPROVED MOTOR CURRENT CONTROLLER PROVIDED WITH GAIN SCHEDULER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3312879
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor controller for giving a fixed zone width separately from the motor operating condition.
SOLUTION: This device includes sensors 30, 97, 102 for sensing the dynamic operating characteristic of a motor and for providing the signal for showing it, a variable gain regulator 190 for providing the motor current control signal having a value functionally related with a value of the received current command requesting signal and a gain control value, a gain scheduler 196 connected to the variable gain regulator and the sensors for operation and for providing the gain control value to the variable regulator in response to the sensed dynamic operating characteristic of the motor so as to control the quantity of the gain of the variable gain regulator, and driving circuits 204, 190 connected to the variable gain regulator and the motor and for energizing the motor in response to the motor current control signal.
