Abstract:
To provide an electric circuit which operates at room temperature, enables fine integration and can perform a calculation equivalent to universal quantum calculation.SOLUTION: An electric circuit is provided with 2N transmission lines in which a plane wave having amplitude and phase corresponding to quantum information of N quantum bits. Two transmission lines among the 2N transmission lines are connected through a bridge line, the two transmission lines are connected through an exchange line with one input connected to the other output, or a delay line is connected to either of the two transmission lines so as to cause a phase difference in the plane wave propagating the two transmission lines. Each line is provided with a ladder-shaped circuit of one or more stages with each stage having inductance and capacity. The value of inductance of each line (a transmission line, the bridge line, the exchange line and the delay line) is adjusted such that unitary conversion corresponding to a universal gate is applied to N quantum bit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
