Abstract:
To provide an electric connector with high contact reliability of a contact in a low profile configuration.SOLUTION: A receptacle connector 3 comprises: a stationary housing 10; a movable housing 20 which is relatively movable with respect to the stationary housing 10; and a receptacle side contact 30 attached over both housings 10, 20. The receptacle side contact 30 comprises: a fixed holding portion 31 held by the stationary housing 10; a movable terminal portion 37 held by the movable housing 20; and an intermediate portion 30m connecting the fixed holding portion 31 and the movable terminal portion 37. The movable terminal portion 37 has a movable contact portion 37a which extends upward while being connected to the top edge of a terminal press-fit portion 37a held by the movable housing 20, bends with roundness on one side in a crosswise direction, and is folded back downwards. An escape space 26 for allowing the movable contact portion 37a to be elastically deformed toward the other side in the crosswise direction is provided in the movable housing 20 on the other side of the movable contact portion 37a in the crosswise direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
