PURPOSE: To control the amount of fuel injection precisely irrespective of resonance relations by correcting the period of triangular wave signals prescribing the oscillations of the member to the value out of resonance when the injection amount adjusting member of a fuel injection pump is within the revolution region in resonance with a Diesel engine.
CONSTITUTION: When the number of revolutions of a Diesel engine rises within the revolution region in resonance with the injection amount adjusting member, the number of raised revolutions is detected by an electromagnetic pickup 60, and the period T1 of triangular wave signals generated by a triangular wave signal circuit is corrected to T2 by means of a period correction circuit in a control circuit E. A solenoid valve 37 is forced to make switching operation under control of its driving circuit in relation to the period T2, and controls the injection amount of the pressure fuel to the Diesel engine by applying slight oscillations with the period T2 to the adjusting member 21. Therefore, the injection amount adjusting member 21 is controlled at the period T2 which is out of resonance with the Diesel engine, thus the displacement of the adjusting member 21 will never be made unstable, and the amount of injection to the engine can be controlled stably and adequately.
