The electric dehumidifying machine is provided with an air fan 5, a hygroscopic element 4, a heating means for heating air passed through the hygroscopic element 4 to remove moisture absorbed by the hygroscopic element 4 and a heat exchanger 6. The electric dehumidifying machine has also a 1st air suction port 2 and a 2nd air suction port 3 formed on the outside surface of a main body 1, and inside the main body 1, a 1st air suction passage communicating with the air fan 5 via the hygroscopic element 4 from the 1st air suction port 2 and a 2nd air suction passage communicating with the air fan 5 via the heat exchanger 6 from the 2nd air suction port 3.
