Title:
ELECTRIC DISCHARGE LAMP LIGHTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0451496
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: Not only to generate two luminescent spots of each of electric discharge lamps but also to form a multiple lamp lighting circuit without increasing the current limiting element of the electric discharge lamp by setting each of first high-frequency power sources interposingly inserted between the electric discharge lamp and a capacitor, and each of second high-frequency power sources connected between other-end filamentary terminals of the electric discharge lamp to about the same voltage while setting the voltages of both power sources in such a direction as negating each other.

CONSTITUTION: An electric discharge lamp lighting device has a d.c. power source E, a capacitor connected to both ends of this d.c. power source E, electric discharge lamps La1, La2 and up to Lan respectively connected parallelly to this capacitor C, plural first high-frequency power sources e1', e2' and up to en' all interposingly inserted respectively between each of these electric discharge lamps La1, La2 and up to Lan and the capacitor C, and plural second high-frequency power sources e1, e2 and up to en respectively connected between other-end filamentary terminals of each of the electric discharge lamps La1, La2 and up to Lan, and then the plural first high-frequency power sources e1', e2' and up to en', and the plural second high-frequency power sources e1, e2 and up to en are respectively set to about the same voltage while setting the voltages of both power sources in such a direction as negating each other.
