The electric display device comprises an information display section 1 for displaying image information by turning on or off a plurality of light-emitting devices arranged in the form of a matrix, a decorative display section 2 consisting of a plurality of light-emitting devices disposed around the information display section 1, a first driving means B1 to B6 for driving the information display section dynamically, a second driving means 4 for driving the decorative display section as one line of the information display section, a display data storing means having a first dot-data area for one screen of the information display section and a second dot-data area corresponding to one scanning of the first driving means, and a control means for accessing the dot-data areas of the display data storing means according to the dynamic drive to transfer dot-data in the first dot-data area to the information display section and transfer dot-data in the second dot-data area to the decorative display section.
