Abstract:
PURPOSE:To execute precise feedback control with high response by sampling data at the rise of a chop signal to omit an integrating circuit or to reduce the time constant. CONSTITUTION:A dimming controlling device 1 outputs a high frequency operating signal (a) and a chop signal (b) to an analog gate 2, which applies an exciting signal (c) to a fluorescent lamp driver 3. The fluorescent lamp driver 3 applies chopped high frequency voltage obtained by amplifying the exciting signal (c) to a fluorescent lamp 4. Emitted light from the fluorescent lamp 4 is photoelectrically converted by a photodiode 5 and the voltage corresponding to the brightness is applied to an integrating circuit 6 to smooth high frequency ripple. The integrated voltage is applied to a sample holding circuit 7. The sample holding circuit 7 opens an input gate and enters the integrated voltage only when the chop signal (b) is turned to the ''H'' level and a monostable multivibrator 8 is triggered to output pulses with prescribed width.
