PURPOSE: To prevent a user from being overexposed to air automatically when he goes to bed by controlling a fan motor so as to cause a blast quantity to become the minimum value at a time when brightness detected by a photodetection sensor becomes less than the specified value during sensor operation.

CONSTITUTION: There are provided with a person detecting sensor 22 detecting the presence of a person and a photo detecting sensor 24 detecting brightness in the circumference. During execution of sensor operation for control over driving or stopping a fan motor 5 according to a fact that whether there is a detection signal out of the person detecting sensor 22 or not, when the brightness detected by the photo detection sensor 24 becomes less than the specified value, an electric fan is constituted of installing a sensor operation control means 26 for controlling a drive mode of the fan motor 5 so as to cause a blast value to be turned to a minimum air quantity in the setting air capacity. Under this condition, in the case where it comes to such a situation that a user goes to bed when the sensor operation is carried out, the blast value is automatically reducible, so that the user can be prevented from being overexposed to air automatically.
