To provide a clean, conveniently usable electric food processor excellent in sealing property of a cooking object.
The electric food processor includes a container 8 into which the cooking object 9 is thrown, a container base 5 in which a cutter (not shown in figure) rotatably driven by a motor (not shown in the figure) is incorporated and the container 8 is mounted, and a doughnut-like packing 12 which is formed by an elastic member and intervenes between the container 8 and the container base 5. A ring-like rib 14 is disposed at least on one side of the packing 12, and a recessed groove 15 to which the rib 14 fits is disposed on at least one of the container base bottom face 10 of the container base 5 facing the packing 12 and the container bottom face 11 of the container 8 so that the volume of the rib 14 becomes larger than the volume of the recessed groove 15. Since the rib 14 of the packing 12 is surely brought into close contact with the inner peripheral face of the recessed groove 15 when the container 8 is mounted on the container base 5, formation of a gap is surely prevented compared with the case when only one face is brought into contact so that the sealability is improved and the clean electric food processor from which the cooking object hardly leaks can be provided.
