To obtain an economical effect by prolonging the service life of the heating element of a furnace for ceramic industry by protecting the heating element from an external contaminate environment and to enable the heating element to heat the whole surface of an object to be fired, and then, to make the furnace easily manufacturable.
An electric furnace for ceramic art which is set up in an environment in which a strongly chemically erosive substance generated from a material to be heated, an erosive inorganic substance introduced from the outside of a heating chamber, or an erosive gas is used is constituted in such a heat insulation structure that the internal side face and bottom face of the furnace are composed of panel heater units 21 and 22 having planar ceramic partitions 7. In addition to the internal side face and bottom face, the ceiling of the furnace is also composed of a tube heater 23 using a ceramic tube as a partition. The tube heater 23 is supported by attaching members 24 each of which is constituted by bonding a ceramic to a heat-resistant metal and installed to the side face of the furnace near the ceiling.
