PURPOSE: To obtain characteristics of a high withstand voltage which cannot be expected of a sole oil which is proper for a capacitor by composing electric insulation oil of mixture of 1-phenyl-2-tolyl ethane of 60W80vol.% with 1, 2- ditlyl-ethane of 40W20vol.%.
CONSTITUTION: Electric insulation oil is composed of mixture of 1-phenyl-2-tolyl ethane of 60W80vol.% with 1, 2-ditolyl-ethane of 40W20vol.%. All of the partial decomposition discharge starting voltage, rated voltage, energy density, etc., of a capacitor having this impregnated are improved much. The mixing rate is set as above because a great improvement to withstand voltage characteristics cannot be expected if the rate is other than this. Performance of a capacitor is improved by this, and production cost is reduced.
