Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a contained liquid from flowing out, when a main body falls down and when internal pressure of an inner vessel rises suddenly by making a water level rise allowable space in a liquid ejecting passage large by utilizing an excess space in a pipe cover.
CONSTITUTION: In the electric kettle, a water stop valve 14 for fall down is constituted by disposing a valve chest 15 formed on the way of a liquid ejecting passage 12, a valve hole 15a leading to the liquid ejecting passage 12 formed in the valve chest 15, and a valve body 17 operated so as to close the valve hole 15a at the time when a main body falls down. Also, in spaces on both left and right sides of the valve chest 15 from an ejecting port of the liquid ejecting passage 12, a liquid storage space part 80 is formed which has the capacity enough to store temporarily a liquid which flows out through the liquid ejecting passage 12 before the valve hole 15a is closed by the valve body 17 at the time when the main body falls down.
