To provide an electric lock of simple structure which can be put in effect and disengaged both by manual operation using a key and with a rotary actuator.
The front frame 11a of a cylinder lock is fixed to a front case 2a so that a key hole is open in the front face of a case fixed to the rear surface of an opening/closing door 3, and through a detent projection 19 a rotational actuator piece 16 is rotated in a single piece at the tail of a rotor 12 which is installed in continuity to the front frame 11a and fitted in a bore block 13 rotatably. A gear 15 at the tail of the rotational actuator piece 16 is meshed with a rack 14 on a bolt rod 7 which is installed on the rear case 2b in such a way as capable of advancing and retreating, and a transmission gear 21 fixed to the periphery of the rotor 12 is driven through a pinion 26, gear 24, and worm gear of a rotary actuator 25 which is rotatable both in the regular and reverse directions. The rotor 12 is made rotatable even with the locking and unlocking motions consisting of insertion and turning of a key 10.
