Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an electric locomotive and an electric powered vehicle which are energized in a non-contact state from an overhead trolley wire.
CONSTITUTION: An induction coil 30 of a rectangle having a long and linear side is disposed along an overhead trolley wire 10 at a long side in a non- contact state on a roof of a vehicle body 12. An induced voltage induced in the coil 30 is transformed by a transformer 16, and further rectified by a rectifier 22 to a DC voltage, which is applied to a motor 24.
