An electric motor includes a rotor and a stator. The stator has a stator core having multiple split cores 31; multiple insulators 60; and multiple coil parts 70. Each split core 31 has a yoke piece 41 and a tooth 50. The tooth 50 has a circular arc part 51 and a connection part 52. A conduction wire 71 and a heat absorption wire 72 absorbing heat generated by the conduction wire 71 are wound around the connection part 52. The heat absorption wire 72 is formed by insulative coating an aluminum wire with a resin of polyamide or polyamide imide. Winding the conduction wire 71 and the heat absorption wire 72 simultaneously allows the heat absorption wire 72 to be disposed around the conduction wire 71.
