Abstract:
Provided is an electric motor in which an attachment flange is attached to one axial end of a motor housing in which a motor body is accommodated. The attachment flange comprises a main plate disposed so as to be in contact with an end wall of the motor housing, a cylindrical spigot-type convex part that protrudes from the main plate away from the motor housing, a rotating-shaft lead-out opening formed through the main plate on the inside of the spigot-type convex part in order for the rotating shaft of the motor body to be led to the outside, and a lateral wall that protrudes from the outer edge of the main plate toward the motor housing. Joined to the motor housing by TOX fastening are: a plurality of joining spots set in a region positioned between the spigot-type convex part and the rotating-shaft output opening of the main plate of the attachment flange, and a plurality of joining spots set in each of two parts to be secured that are set on the lateral wall of the flange.
