Abstract:

To provide an electric motorbike for running on a rail track having a three-phase electric motor with a vehicle-mounted battery being applied as a power supply acting as a driving means which can move under a high output and low noise.

The electric motorbike for running on a rail track comprises a three-phase electric motor with a vehicle-mounted battery acting as a driving means for the electric motorbike. With this arrangement, it is possible to attain a high output, eliminate noise or vibration, eliminate disturbing the sleeping of inhabitants near a railway line or other nuisances, eliminate a resonance of engine sound in a tunnel or a subway, eliminate the occurrence of harmful exhaust gas such as CO2 or the like, provide a substantial improvement of working environment by eliminating nasty smell or pains of eyes or throat felt by occupant or workers and the like, with the result that the entire weight of the motorbike can be reduced, and the bike can be easily set on the railway and a line transfering can be performed easily, and further its handling characteristic as well as safety characteristic are superior. Further, the three-phase electric motor is applied as a driving source, thereby all the driving operations of the motorbike including starting/stopping and forwarding/retracting can be carried out under a control of the three-phase electric motor, and operations are simple and no skill in operation is required.
