Title:
ELECTRIC POWER STEERING APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3433701
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a steering feeling of a driver excellent without unnecessarily deteriorating a follow-up performance of a motor with respect to a control command value determined in accordance with a rotating operation of a steering wheel.
SOLUTION: A brushless motor 11 is controlled in accordance with a steering torque detected by a steering torque sensor 15. A sensitive region determination part 31 determines whether or not a running condition of a vehicle belongs to a sensitive region (a region in which the running condition is high speed running and in a low steering speed time, and a driver feels a steering feeling sensitively) based on a vehicle speed and a steering speed. Based on the determination result, a modification of a control mode of the brushless motor 11, such as, the change of a control gain, or the changing over of a presence or an absence of correction by a non-interacting control correction value or a pulsation torque correction value, is carried out.
