To provide an electric power transmission system which makes it unnecessary to install a dedicated data transmitting and receiving unit, prevents the number of components from increasing, and prevents cost from rising.
The electric power transmission system comprises: an inverter part 106 which converts and outputs direct voltage into alternating current voltage of a predetermined frequency; a power transmission antenna 108 which transmits electrical energy through an electromagnetic field to an opposite power receiving antenna 202; a rectifier 203 which rectifies output from the power receiving antenna 202; a first FET 111; a current detecting part 107; a first control part 110 which performs data processing on the basis of a current value detected by the current detecting part 107 while controlling ON/OFF of the first FET 111; a second FET 211; a voltage detecting part 207; and a second control part 210 which performs data processing on the basis of the current value detected by the voltage detecting part 207 while controlling ON/OFF of the second FET 211.
