Abstract:
PURPOSE: To significantly improve change of corona discharge capability with an elapse of time by containing a discharge member formed by a metal wire having a wire diameter of 0.005mm to 0.1mm. CONSTITUTION: An electric ionizer 10 includes a number of electrode members 1 and a support member 2 in which these electrode members are implanted, and each electrode member 1 is made of metal wires having a wire diameter of 0.005 to 0.1mm. Thus, when a metal wire of thin diameter is employed as a discharge member, a tip end of the electrode member is vibrated by air blasting and by electrical shock during discharge, and a cleaning effect is brought due to screening dust adhered to the metal wire. Thereby, change of corona discharge capability with an elapse of time is significantly improved.
