To drive and control an electric vacuum pump to always obtain required brake assist force when speed of a vehicle is changed.
The electric vacuum pump 111 generates negative pressure in a brake booster 110 of the vehicle 100. When travel speed of the vehicle 100 is predicted to be prescribed speed or more by prediction means 131, a driving means 132 drives the electric vacuum pump 111 so that the negative pressure in the brake booster 110 becomes a high speed time negative value Ph before the travel speed becomes the prescribed speed or more. At the time, required driving time of the electric vacuum pump 111 is calculated on the basis of a difference between a present negative pressure value and the high speed time negative pressure value Ph in the brake booster 110, and driving of the electric vacuum pump 111 is started from the required driving time before the time when the travel speed is predicted to be the prescribed speed.
