Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive controller which can hold the vehicle reliably, without movement of the vehicle in the reverse direction, during starting on a slope and secure smooth starting without use of sensors dedicated for up-hill assist, independent of the magnitude of the road surface gradient and the weight of the vehicle.SOLUTION: Stationary control start means 26 starts stationary control of a vehicle in response to an ON input of an up-hill assist control change-over switch 15. A stop direction determination means 28 determines a stop direction as to whether the vehicle is on an up-hill or a down-hill, on the basis of the maximum torque imparted to a motor 1 during stationary control of the vehicle. The traveling direction of the vehicle determined by desired traveling direction determination means 27 and the stop direction are compared. When the compared directions coincide with each other, stationary control release means 29 releases stationary control of the vehicle at the time when a directive acceleration torque becomes greater than the maximum torque imparted to the motor 1.
