Abstract:

To provide an electric vehicle in which damage due to an inverse electromotive force generated by a tow is surely prevented when a switching element is broken due to short circuit.

A power supply ECU 20 senses the movement of a vehicle 100 based on an action force from the outside of the vehicle, such as a tow using another vehicle, on the basis of the number of rotations WRN of driving wheels 4 to be sensed with a wheel speed sensor 11. Upon sensing the movement of the vehicle 100, the power supply ECU 20 outputs a movement sensing signal OPC together with an activation signal IGON. Then, an HV-ECU 10 judges whether a transistor broken due to short circuit has been sensed, and if the transistor has been sensed, the HV-ECU 10 emits at least any one of control commands ME1 and ME2 to prevent formation of a current path including a motor generator MG and the sensed transistor.
