Abstract:
To provide an electric vehicle capable of efficiency charging a secondary cell during regeneration.SOLUTION: The electric vehicle includes: a drive motor 12 for driving a driving wheel; a secondary cell 11 charged with electric power derived from regeneration of the drive motor 12 and supplying electric power to the drive motor 12; a fuel cell 20 supplied with fuel gas and oxidation gas to generate electric power and supplying the generated electric power to the secondary cell 11; gas supply means for supplying the fuel gas and oxidation gas to the fuel cell 20; and an ECU 50 capable of executing a low stoichiometric ratio operation for causing a stoichiometric ratio of at least one of the fuel gas and the oxidation gas to become a low stoichiometric ratio smaller than a reference stoichiometric ratio and then supplying the gas having the low stoichiometric ratio from the gas supply means during regeneration of the drive motor 12. While the voltage of the fuel cell 20 is maintained, the ECU 50 continues the low stoichiometric ratio operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
