To improve user-friendliness in an electric vehicle equipped with a power storage device chargeable by an external power supply.
A vehicle 100 starts charging of a power storage device 4 at a time designated by a user. The vehicle 100 is provided with a lighting device 40 for indicating the charging state of the power storage device 4. A timer control section 3 and a power control section 2 operates the lighting device 40 in different ways depending on the states (before charging, during charging and after charging) of the power storage device 4. In this way, the user easily obtains the state of the power storage device 4 even if the user is away from the vehicle 100. Further, a lamp 211 is intermittently turned on before charging. Thus, the power consumption of the lamp 211 can be reduced.
