To provide an electric washing machine capable of efficient cool air drying.
A closable air suction window 910 is provided and positioned almost at the central part of an outer lid 9 to open/close a clothing input port. A ventilation window 303a to guide air sent out into an outer frame by rotation of a washing and dehydrating tub 6 and an agitation blade 8 is provided at an outer tub cover 303 provided at the upper end of an outer tub 3. A controller is configured so as to control the washing machine so that draft operation to integrally rotate the washing and dehydrating tub 6 and the agitation blade 8 at a high speed and cloth switching operation to rotate the agitation blade 8 in a condition that the rotation of the washing and dehydrating tub 6 is stopped are repeated.
