Abstract:
PURPOSE: To measure water volume in an electric water heater by means of ultrasonic waves and indicate the result and further feed water and detect the highest level in accordance with the measured volume.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of ultrasonic sensors 5 transmitting and receiving the ultrasonic waves are provided on the lid 3. And the time interval in which the ultrasonic waves transmitted from the ultrasonic sensor 5 are reflected at the water level 7 and retured is measured by a timer 11. Since the speed of ultrasonic wave is known, the water volume can be judged by a water volume measuring means 12. And a water volume indicator 13 or a water feed alarm 16, a highest volume alarm 17 are turned on.
