To provide an electric wire capable of suppressing the generation of remaining refuse during peeling work by decreasing the entry of an insulation body, and improving the workability of peeling.
A high-pressure electric wire 15 wired in a hybrid automobile 1 includes a conductor 18 made from a plurality of element wires 18a made by aluminum or aluminum alloy, and an insulating insulator 19 covering the conductor 18 by press-molding. The conductor 18 is a compressed conductor made by twisting the plurality of element wires 18a to form a strand, bundling a plurality of strands 18a to form a bundle-shaped strand 18c, and compressing the bundle-shaped strand 18c after the formation. A compression rate obtained by dividing a diameter after compression by a diameter before compression is 90%. The adhesion force of the insulator 19 to the conductor 18 is 10 N-50 N, and electric wire flexibility when changing bending R 80 mm to bending R 40 mm is 50 N or less.
