An electrical contact 1 has a housing 10 having a plurality row of contact housing holes 11 and a plurality of contacts 20 to be housed in the contact housing holes 11. Each contact 20 has a contact part 21 with a mating contact, an electric wire connecting part 22 positioned at the rear of the contact part 21, and a locking part 23 for being locked to a locking projection of a housing 10. The locking part 23 is constituted with a pair of elastic lances, which bends in the right and left directions to the axial line extending in the forward and backward directions. The locking part 23 is positioned in the vicinity of the front end of the contact part 21, and a locking releasing tool inserting hole 18 which extends from the front surface 14 of the housing 20 to the locking part 23 of the contact 20 is formed in the housing 10.
