Title:
ELECTRICAL INSULATING MATERIAL USED IN HOUSING OF NONCERAMIC INSULATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2698528
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent breakage in molding without increasing the production cost and lowering the productivity in an electrical insulating material for a housing of a nonceramic insulator.
CONSTITUTION: This electrical insulating material is obtained by adding aluminum hydroxide as a thermal expansion modifier at ≥200 weight ratio to 100 weight ratio of a base polymer such as EPDM rubber. Since the linear expansion coefficient of the EPDM rubber is reduced to ≤1.5×10-4°C-1, the breakage due to thermal expansion in molding can be prevented from occurring. Since only the thermal expansion modifier is added, an increase of the production cost and the lowering of the productivity do not cause.
