To secure the assured operation of electrical parts in an emergency of a vehicle using a simplest structure in an electrical system for a vehicle.
This electrical system for a vehicle comprises a stop lamp 2 mounted on the vehicle and a capacitor 9 so mounted on the vehicle that can drive a stop lamp 2. The electrical system further comprises power supply lines 4, 6 for supplying a power from a battery 3 toward the stop lamp 2, and a power supply line 10 which is branched from the power supply line 4 at the portion further on the stop lamp 2 side than a brake switch 8 disposed in the power supply line 4 for supplying the power from the battery 3 toward the capacitor 9. The electrical system also comprises an emergency drive ECU 5 for switching a circuit to supply the power stored in the capacitor 9 to the stop lamp 2 when determining that the vehicle is in an urgent state.
