Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain electrically conductive combined filament yarn having little coloring, capable of being combined with another electrically conductive yarn and imparting excellent antistatic performance and wearing stability to a fiber article.
CONSTITUTION: This combined filament yarn is composed of side yarn of electrically conductive conjugate fiber yarn consisting of a protective polymer layer, an opacifying polymer layer and an electrically conductive polymer layer and core yarn of a multifilament of an electrically non-conductive polyethylene terephthalate. In the combined filament yarn, the side yarn is longer than the core yarn by 0.5-1.5% in its yarn length and the mechanical properties of the core yarn is superior to those of the side yarn.
