PURPOSE: To show the front for carrying the articles in and out of the shelf by providing a means for indicating the passage formation in both sides of the passage.

CONSTITUTION: The shelf unit A, in which a multiplicity of shelf plates is placed on the shelf supporting frames vertically and horizontally, consists of one fixed shelf unit A0 and three self-propelled shelf units A1WA3, the wheels B that are attached to the lower end parts of the self-propelled shelf units are runnably put on the guide rails C that are parallelly laid on the horizontal floor in the direction of depth. Each shelf unit A1WA3 is provided with the motor M1WM3. The passage specifying push-botton switches PB11WPB32 are mounted on both sides of each face of the shelf unit A1WA3, the passage formation display lamps L11WL32 and L11sWL32s are incorporated in the outside of the respective push-botton switches.
