To provide an electrifying member having uniform electrifying property, free from stickiness to a photoreceptor and contaminating property and excellent in transferability and permanent stability of resistance and to provide an image forming device using the electrifying member.

The electrifying member has an electrically conductive elastic body obtained by mixing and vulcanizing NBR (acrylomitrile butadiene robber), a polar-nonpolar copolymer and a nonpolar polymer. The preferred proportions of the NBR, the polar-nonpolar copolymer and the nonpolar polymer are 20-70 parts, 1-30 parts and 10-50 parts, respectively. The polar-nonpolar copolymer is preferably a vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer and the nonpolar polymer is preferably an ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer. The surface of the electrifying member is preferably irradiated with UV.
