To provide an electron-optical detection device to be transdermally buried, capable of more securely monitoring the concentration of a subject in vivo by improving the sensitivity to the variation of concentration of the subject.
The electron-optical detection device comprises a housing 11 for keeping the interior liquid-tight, a transparent layer 22 for transmitting light while closing a window opened in the housing 11 and keeping the air-tightness, an indicator layer 21 closely adhering to the outer surface of the transparent layer 22 with the fluorescence characteristics varying according to the concentration of the subject, a detector 25, located in a position facing the indicator layer 21 with the transparent layer 22 in-between, for converting the fluorescence from the indicator layer 21 to electric signals, an optical waveguide 24 set between the transparent layer 22 and the indicator 25 for radiating the light from a light source 23 toward the indicator layer, and a shading layer 41 for shading the light from the optical waveguide 24 toward the detector 25.
