Abstract:
To increase a usable voltage range of an electro-optical test device.SOLUTION: A controller 220 provides an optical carrier signal to a sensor head 230, and receives a phase modulated optical signal modulated at the sensor head 230. The controller 220 also provides and receives a reference optical signal. Then, the controller 220 determines a phase difference between the phase modulated optical signal and the reference optical signal. The phase difference is employed to recover a remote electrical test signal from the sensor head 230. The phase difference is determined by employing a phase modulator in the controller 220 that tracks a phase modulator 233 in the sensor head 230.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
