Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance safety of operation of an electrochemical storage battery having electrode plates of different polarities, which are laminated one on another, reduce the danger of short-circuiting of the electrode plates of different polarities, and easily manufacture the electrochemical storage battery. CONSTITUTION: Electrode plates 6, 6a respectively comprise electrode frames 1, 1a coated with metal and inflexible current leading lug 2a conductively fixed to welding edges 4 of the electrode frames 1, 1a. The current leading lugs 2a of the same polarity in the electrode plates 6, 6a are conductingly connected to a connecting piece 8 extending into a battery jar 9 in parallel to an electrode plate lamination 5. The current leading lugs 2a disposed in the electrode frames 1, 1a are permanently molded only outside the welding edges 4 according to their incorporated states, and are free from a mechanical load within a range of the welding edges 4 of the electrode frames 1, 1a in the incorporated state.
