Title:
ELECTROCHEMICAL CONTROL METHOD OF AQUATIC LIFE AND ANTI-FOULING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3668976
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method having a high effect for killing the cells of aquatic life by the electrochemical control of the aquatic life or separating adhering cells or the decomposed matter thereof from the surface of a conductive base material being a surface to be prevented from fouling.
SOLUTION: In the electrochemical control method of aquatic life, the aquatic life coming into direct or indirect contact with the surface of the conductive base material is electrochemically controlled by applying positive potential not causing the decomposition of an electrolyte to the conductive base material. This method comprises a process for applying positive potential not causing the decomposition of an electrolyte and a process for applying positive potential higher than the positive potential not causing the decomposition of the electrolyte. The anti-fouling method is also disclosed.
