To provide an electrochemical element which has a simple structure, a high output, high reliability, and a high electric capacity, and a plurality of which can be efficiently manufactured at the same time.
On the electrochemical element, a first electrode is composed of a first collector sheet 13a and at least one first electrode mixture layer 14a carried thereby, a second electrode is composed of a second current collector sheet 13b and at least one second electrode mixture layer 14b carried thereby. Further, at least one end of the first collector sheet 13a is a non-coating portion of the first electrode mixture layers 14a, and at least one end of the second collector sheet 13b is a non-coating portion of the second electrode mixture layers 14b. The non-coating portion of the first collector sheet 13a is connected to a first terminal 17a on a first side surface of an electrode plate group, and the non-coating portion of the second collector sheet 13b is connected to a second terminal 17b on a second side surface of the electrode plate group. At least a portion of the non-coating portion of the first collector sheet 13a is buried in the first terminal 17a, and at least one portion of the non-coating portion of the second collector sheet 13b is buried in the second terminal 17b.
