Abstract:

To produce a synthetic intermediate product of a raw monomer for a short-side-chain perfluorosulfonate polymer superior in heat resistance, with a simple process and at a high yield.

This production method is a method for producing a compound expressed by the following general formula (2): FCO(CF2)n-1SO2F, (wherein n is the same as in general formula (1)), by electrolytically fluorinating a compound expressed by the general formula (1): (wherein n is an integer of 3 to 6); and includes making an inactive fluorinated solvent coexist with the compound when the compound is electrolytically fluorinated.
