Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochromic material which exhibits a color change between brown color and colorless transparency and to provide a color variable electrode and an element.SOLUTION: There is provided an electrochromic material which changes color from brown color to colorless transparency by an electrochemical redox reaction, wherein an active ingredient is composed of an elementary substance or a mixture of crystals obtained by surface-modifying a cobalt-iron cyano complex represented by the following formula with hexacyano iron ions. ACo[Fe(CN)]zHO (A is a positive ion element selected from H, Li, Na, K, Rb and Cs; X is 0 to 2.5; y is 0.8 to 1.2; z is a numerical value of 0 to 6.)SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
