Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the disconnection and deterioration occurring in the stress by thermocompression bonding and to improve the long-term reliability of connecting parts by suppressing the increase in the connecting resistance value in the transparent electrode connecting parts of a liquid crystal display element and the counter electrode of a driving circuit board. CONSTITUTION:A protective film 5 consisting of a polyurethane resin or polyolefin resin as its base material is previously provided on a substrate 1a side of the liquid crystal display element at the time of connecting the transparent electrode terminal 3a on the substrate 1a and the counter electrode 7 of the driving circuit board 8 by an anisotropic conductive film 6. The protective film 5 absorbs the stresses at the time of thermocompression bonding and can conduct conductive particles 6a, thereby suppressing the increase in the connecting resistance value.
