Abstract:

To mainly provide an electrode for an electric double-layered capacitor which has a large capacity per volume, superior adhesive strength between an electrode layer and an electricity collector, and low internal resistance, and an electric double-layered capacitor which uses the electrode.

This electrode is for the electric double-layered capacitor which has a positive electrode, a negative electrode, the electricity collector, and an electrolyte, and characterized in that (1) the positive and negative electrodes contain at least activated carbon and a binder, and (2) the binder is polyvinylidene fluoride containing calboxylic acid.
