Abstract:

To provide an electrode material for energy-storing elements and the manufacturing method thereof wherein a practically usable low-cost material obtd. from vanadium and iron is capable of the power storage, and used as an active substance for electrodes to manufacture a low-cost energy storing element, esp., electrochemical capacitor.

This method for manufacturing an electrode material for energy- storing elements comprises steps of reacting an iron nitrate soln. with an ammonia soln. to obtain a gel-like precipitate, drying the gel-like precipitate to make a precursor, preparing a paste contg. the precursor as a main component, sticking the paste to a substrate and heat treating it in an oxidizing atmosphere.
