Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for testing which can test the electrode performance of a flow cell on a long-term basis with reduce maintenance, less space, and lower cost.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an electrode material life testing device 1 used for examining degradation in the electrode material of cell bodies 100 to 500 by serially connecting a plurality of cell bodies 100 to 500 of a redox flow cell. The device includes: a power supply circuit for electrically connecting the negative electrode of a first cell body and the positive electrode of a second cell body 200, for example, in the cell bodies 100 to 500, the first and second cell bodies being adjacent to each other, and connecting one direct current power source 800 to a part of the electric connection; and an electrolyte circulation path for flowing an electrolyte 610 from the positive electrode of the first cell body to the negative electrode of the first cell body and from the negative electrode of the first cell body to the positive electrode of the second cell body, the electrolyte circulation path having a tank 600 and a pump 700 in the middle of the path, the tank 600 storing an electrolyte 610 and the pump 700 circulating the electrolyte 610 in the path.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
