Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve electron conductivity, oxygen ion conductivity, and durability in an electrode material usable for a solid electrolyte fuel cell and an oxygen sensor.
SOLUTION: In this electrode material, fluorite type oxygen ion conductive oxide 112 showing p-type conductivity is added as an additive to a perovskite type oxide 111 serving as a base material and showing p-type conductivity. This electrode material is formed by preparing the perovskite type oxide powder 111 having 0.2-10.0 μm mean grain size and showing the p-type conductivity and the fluorite type oxygen ion conductive oxide powder 112 showing p-type conductivity, mixing them for forming a mixture powder containing 2-20 wt.% of fluorite type oxygen ion conductive oxide, and firing the mixture powder.
