Abstract:

To provide an electrode for pickling a steel material, which has superior acid resistance, and stable energizing properties for a long period.

The electrode for pickling the steel material is made of a modified stainless steel that employs SUS316L for a base material, which is generally used as a high-corrosion-resistant stainless steel, that excludes Mn from SUS316L, which is a component of worsening the acid resistance, and that contains 22-24% Cr, 24-26% Ni and 5-6% Mo, which are increased contents to improve the acid resistance. Thereby, the electrode acquires improved acid resistance and the stable energizing properties for a long period.
